My Story
About Me
My name is Elizabeth Callegari, and I currently serve as Account Executive at Otey White and Associates. I graduated from Louisiana State University in 2021, majoring in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising.
I have experience in the fashion, event planning, marketing and public relations industry. Focusing on the aspects of client interaction and account management, I service my clients on everything from social media, billboards, digital media, print media to event planning. I am extremely driven, hard-working, and I can handle anything that is thrown at me. All aspects of my varied background have taught me the same important lesson that is applicable to all areas of communication: we are not control of the things around us, but we are in control of how we react to it.

Current Experience
In my current position as Account Executive at Otey White and Associates, I direct marketing campaigns for 200 local, individually-owned NAPA Auto Parts stores. I have the opportunity to work with individual NAPA store owners to coordinate marketing materials for store grand openings, tool and filter sales.
While my most prominent work with NAPA Auto Parts, I also created and implemented multi-functional public relation campaigns for local clients including Drago’s and The Mix boutique, ModWash and East Baton Rouge Housing Authority. These campaigns include anything from directing photoshoots, writing and placing press releases and radio scripts, to sending out e-blasts, buying billboards, and placing digital media such as predatory marketing, geofence tracking, YouTube and OTT. While there are a plethora of mixed media options, I am proud to say that my work ethic, out-going personality and cleint-centered approach to account management has allowed me to form genuine relationships with my clients and give them exactly what they want and need.
In my previous position as Digital Marketing and Co-Op Coordinator at Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry, I ran the official Instagram and Facebook accounts by creating and posting daily Instagram post and stories, gathering materials for paid ads, monitoring audience responses and reviewing social media analytics. For each post, I worked closely with the photographer to style and direct photo shoots. In addition to running social media, I also contributed to Lee Michaels’s holiday catalog and bi-annual Accent Magazine pages by selecting models, jewelry to feature, coming up with headlines and copy and requesting and organizing co-op advertisements.

Educational Experience
I graduated from Louisiana State University in 2021, majoring in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising. My time at Louisiana State University was fun, educational and rewarding. With the help of some incredible LSU Manship School of Mass Communication professors and mentors, I was able to build the skills to work as a professional in media and communications. Through my major, I gained experience creating visual and written media assets through ads, proposals, press releases, social media posts, and events for various companies. My minor allowed me to build on this by not only teaching me fashion history and trends, but how to anticipate and understand customer needs. From exploring topics from politics all the way to fashion and entertainment, I am well-versed on every platform– print, internet, broadcast, social media and whatever comes next.
In addition to my coursework at the Manship school, I worked at Otey White and Associates and the LSU Athletics Marketing Department. At Otey White and Associates, I worked with a variety of clients, including Baton Rouge Community College Athletics, NAPA Auto Parts, KYSEK, East Baton Rouge Housing Authority, Episcopal School of Baton Rouge, Coast Diagnostics, and The Mix boutique. In conjunction with the art department and creative coordinators, I created media assets, graphic design artwork, social media boosts for monthly campaigns, media lists and annual media reports. As an LSU Bat Girl, I worked closely with the LSU Athletics Marketing Department to carry out all LSU Baseball promotionals and represent the athletics program both in person and on social media.
